Dear Customers,
For the best part of two years now, the world has been faced with extraordinary challenges related to the raging COVID-19 pandemic. Its effects not just on people’s daily lives but also on economics and the way businesses are run are paramount and still rippling across the world. By careful long-term planning and extensive knowledge of the market, we had so far managed to avoid product shortages, ensure sufficient stock availability and maintain our prices so that our customers could continue to rely on the familiar DEVA quality at stable, affordable prices.
The global components supply crisis, however, is deepening as essential components’ prices soar, with some components being taken off the market altogether. Meanwhile, lead times on orders for chips get increasingly longer, with estimated delivery in the order of 50 or 70 weeks, or even longer. In order to cope with this troubling tendency, we are being forced to accept the spike and purchase components at greatly inflated prices so we can continue to deliver to our customers reliable broadcast equipment. This increases the cost of our entire manufacturing process and makes maintaining the old production model impossible. For this reason, we have unfortunately had to accept that a price increase could not be avoided. We realize that this is a disappointing development but it is regrettably a necessary one as it becoming increasingly difficult for manufacturers in general to obtain the components they need. The new prices come into effect starting November 29th 2021.
